Poem:

It was the first time I experienced such a failure in my life

In the list of top ranker of the class I couldn’t survive

It was just like coming down the stairs which I climbed with so much hard work

I lost it not only with my mistake but also with hard luck

I was unable to complete my paper and did lost so many sums

Just because of slow writing I had limited time in exams

I lost fifteen marks in paper of numbers! I said

Last time in which I scored full marks instead

Of my failure I was so afraid

I shed oceans of tears as I was too upset

I thought what will I tell my parents??

How will I face my teachers??

Suddenly I heard my younger brother saying try try but don’t cry

A light of hope shine upon me

Asking me to try again and see

I wiped my tears and smiled

For my mother told me you have to walk miles

Don’t loose faith so soon

For the dark night there’s still a light of moon

Then I decided to learn from my failure

And let God be my savor

I have got everything in me

Just I’ve to search for it if in future a successful person I want to be

Then started praying and trying

And I tell you it’s much much better than crying

Try it, it works

I have experienced it!!

Unseen Poem: English: Part 2

Vande Matram! In exams we have to solve unseen poem question. Here is one for you.

Poem

My heart leaps up when I see

The dancing tides and shining sands

The beach bathed in golden light,

Lit by the Sun’s own hands

The unreachable horizon,

The vast red sky,

The first stars

On a bough too high

The birds fly back to their nests,

A sight to excite one,

But still, even though, I wonder why

Coz, the sunsets just begun

And yet the low numbers off the field

And the squirrel back to her nest,

Everyone seems to want to miss the time

When the sun is looking its best

But I stay on, as I always do,

Unwilling to budge,

The sunset has cast its spell on me,

Oh, I like it so much!

But the sunset brings something more,

Something very painful to me,

That at any cost the has to end

No matter how perfect it may be.
